At Sao Paolo, Brazil:
Wilson Rodrigues Fonseca's equalizer at 45 minutes lifted Sport Recife to a 1-1 road draw with Palmeiras. Keirrison de Souza Carneiro's penalty kick at 15 minutes provided the lone score for The Big Green.

With goals from Leo (31') and Maxi Lopez (65'), Gremio locked up a knockout stage berth (and first place in Group Seven) with a 2-0 road win at the expense of Universidad de Chile.
