Chelsea And Barca Advance To Semis
The quarterfinal round of the UEFA Champions League resumed Tuesday.
At London:
Second-half goals from Didier Drogba (51'), Alex (57', seen here celebrating his score with Didier Drogba and Michael Ballack), and Frank Lampard (76', 89') enabled Chelsea to withstand a furious Liverpool rally and gain a 4-4 home draw in the second match of the clubs' two-game series, which the Blues won 7-5 on aggregate.
At Munich, Germany:
Seydou Keita's goal (73') enabled Barcelona to gain a game-two 1-1 road draw with Bayern Munich, more than good enough for the Spanish giants to win their two-match set 5-1 on aggregate. Pictured here, Bayern's Hans Jorg Butt dives to clear a Barca attack.
