Group stage play in the Copa Libertadores resumed with two games on Tuesday.
Group One:
At Sao Paolo, Brazil:
Marcao (47') and Diego Souza (82') each tallied once as Palmeiras all but eliminated defending champions LDU Quito with a 2-0 home win.
Group Three:
Gonzalo Luduena's equalizer (88') enabled Universidad San Martin to salvage a 1-1 home draw with Nacional of Uruguay, who got on the scoreboard first thanks to Marcos Mondaini's score at 73 minutes. The draw was good enough for the visitors from Montevideo to clinch a spot in the Round of 16.
