The semifinal round of the CONCACAF Champions League concluded Wednesday night.
At Cancun, Mexico:
Goals from Luis Rey (41'), Giancarlo Maldonado (73') and Rafael Marquez (PK-90'+4) enabled Atlante to defeat visiting Santos Laguna 3-1 in game two of their two-match set and win the series 4-3 on aggregate.
The Iron Colts will next face fellow Mexican club Cruz Azul in the two-match final, which will begin week after next on Azul's home pitch in Mexico City, with the second contest the following week in Cancun.
