Copa Libertadores: Flamengo, Cruzeio, and Estudiantes Advance To Quarterfinals

Three more Round of 16 series in the Copa Libertadores concluded on Wednesday.

At Sao Paulo, Brazil:

Despite dropping a 2-1 road decision in game two of their two-game set to Corinthians, Flamengo still advanced because of they scored more away goals (1-0), even though each team earned three points.  Vagner Love scored what turned out to be the series-winning goal at 49 minutes.

At Montevideo, Uruguay:

With goals from Thiago (29'), Diego Renan (48'), and Gilberto (80'), Cruzeio manhandled Club Nacional 3-0 on the road in game two and won their two-games series on points, 6-0.

At Quilmes, Argentina:

Estudiantes defeated visiting San Luis 3-1 at home in game two and took all six points in the two contests with the Mexican club.  Leandro Benitez scored twice in the second half (50', 55') for the reigning South American club champions.
