MLS: Red Bulls Stay Hot By Keeping DCU Winless; Another Draw For Hoops

A full Saturday lineup in Major League Soccer as all sixteen clubs played.

At Washington:


Ibriahim Salou (51') and Juan Pablo Angel (59') each scored once as the New York Red Bulls are off to the best start in their 15-year history----five wins (which equaled their total from all last season) in six games as they defeated still-winless DC United (off to their worst start ever) 2-0 on the road.

At Foxborough, Massachusetts:

Atiba Harris' 66th-minute equalizer lifted FC Dallas to their fourth draw in five games this season, a 1-1 stalemate with the homestanding New England Revolution.  Zack Schilawski scored at 41 minutes for the Revs.


At Bridgeview, Illinois:


Maicon Santos notched the equalizer at 76 minutes as Chivas USA gained a 1-1 road draw with the Chicago Fire.  Baggio Husidic scored at 52 minutes for the Fire.


At Houston:


The Houston Dynamo throttled the visiting Kansas City Wizards 3-0, thanks to goals from Luis Angel Landin (23'), Brian Mullan (52'), and Samuel Appiah (88') each delivered a goal for the Dynamo while Pat Onstad made two saves en route to his second shutout of the season.


At Sandy, Utah:


Real Salt Lake held off visiting Toronto FC 2-1.  Jamison Olave (13') and Andy Williams (43') each tallied once for RSL.


At Santa Clara, California:


Chris Wondolowski scored the only goal of the match (32') as the San Jose Earthquakes defeated the visiting Colorado Rapids 1-0.


At Carson, California:


Edson Buddle scored twice (27', 44') as the Los Angeles Galaxy remained undefeated with a 3-1 home win over the Philadelphia Union.


At Seattle:


Steven Lenhart scored on a header at 45 minutes as the 10-man Columbus Crew gained a 1-1 road stalemate with Seattle Sounders FC, whose goal came from Steve Zakuani at 3 minutes.
