MLS: DC United and Hoops Get Into Win Column; Goats And Galaxy Register Shutout Wins

On this Cinco de Mayo, there were four Major League Soccer contests.

At Washington:

Danny Allsopp scored twice (11', 33') as DC United registered their first league win of the season, 3-1 over the visiting Kansas City Wizards.

At Foxborough, Massachusetts:

Jesus Padilla scored twice (26', 48') as Chivas USA blasted the New England Revolution 4-0 on the road.

At Houston:

Ugo Ihemelu scored the only goal of the match at 78 minutes as FC Dallas picked up their first win of the season, 1-0 over the Houston Dynamo on the road.

At Commerce City, Colorado:

Alan Gordon's goal (21') provided all the scoring as the Los Angeles Galaxy picked up their first road win over the Colorado Rapids in eight years, 1-0.   Donovan Ricketts picked up his fifth shutout of the year as the Galaxy have six wins and one draw in their first seven contests.
