AFC Champions League: Western Sydney, FC Seoul, Al-Sadd Advance On Away Goals; Easy Advance For Al-Hilal

Four games were played on Wednesday as the Round-of-16 in the AFC Champions League concluded.

At Sydney, Australia:

Shannon Cole (55') and Brendon Santalab (85') each delivered a goal as the Western Sydney Wanderers recovered from the series-opening 3-1 road defeat with a 2-0 game-two home win over Sanfrecce Hiroshima, and with the aggregate score at 3-3, advanced on away goals.

At Seoul, South Korea:

Sergio Escudero scored what proved to be the series-winning goal in the eighth minute as FC Seoul, despite dropping a 2-1 game-two home decision to Kawasaki Frontale, still advanced on away goals with the aggregate score at 4-4.

At Ahvaz, Iran:

Nadir Belhadj (16') and Khalfan Ibrahim (29') provided the scoring in the first half-hour as Al-Sadd gained a 2-2 game-two road draw with Foolad and advanced on away goals with the aggregate score at 2-2.

At Riyadh, Saudi Arabia:

Yasser Al Qahtani (20'), Nasser Al Shamrani (47', he had a hand in all three goals as he assisted on the other tallies), and Salem Al Dawsari (58') each delivered a goal as Al-Hilal dominated visiting Bunyodkor 3-0 in game two and won their two-match series with the Uzbek club 4-0 on aggregate.
