MLS: Reds, Revs, Dynamo, RSL, Sounders Grab Wins On Three-Draw Saturday

Eight games were contested in Major League Soccer on Saturday.

At Toronto:

Jermain Defoe (12') and Luke Moore (90'+5) each scored a goal as Toronto FC blanked the visiting New York Red Bulls 2-0.

At Washington:

Eddie Johnson's equalizer in the 84th minute---his first goal for his new team----lifted DC United to a 1-1 home draw with the Montreal Impact, whose tally came in the 56th minute from Jack McInerney.

At Chester, Pennsylvania:

Five different goal scorers each tallied once, with Chris Tierney scoring the game winner in the 57th minute as the New England Revolution outlasted the Philadelphia Union 5-3 on the road.

At Frisco, Texas:

Fabian Castillo's equalizer in the 83rd minute enabled FC Dallas to salvage a 1-1 home draw with Chivas USA.  Marco Delgado scored in the 60th minute for the Goats.

At Houston:

Giles Barnes scored the only goal of the match in the 61st minute as the Houston Dynamo knocked off the visiting Los Angeles Galaxy 1-0.

At Sandy, Utah:

Javier Morales delivered the winning goal in the 51st minute with his successfully-converted penalty kick as Real Salt Lake held off the visiting Colorado Rapids 2-1.

At Seattle:

Obafemi Martins scored the only goal of the match in the eighth minute as the Seattle Sounders defeated the visiting San Jose Earthquakes 1-0.

At Portland, Oregon:

Gaston Fernandez delivered the equalizer in the 85th minute as the Portland Timbers, who finished the contest with ten men, gained a 3-3 home draw with the Columbus Crew to stretch their unbeaten home MLS run to 22 games tied for third longest in league history.  Maximiliano Urrut (5') and Will Johnson (80') scored the Timbers' other goals.  Federico Higuain (14', PK-45') and Ethan Finlay (81') delivered the goals for the visiting Crew.
