Europa League Semifinals: Benfica, Sevilla Punch Tickets For May 14 Final At Turin

The semifinal round of the Europa League concluded on Thursday with two games.

At Turin, Italy:

A 0-0 game-two draw on the road was good enough for SL Benfica as the Portuguese club won their two-match series with Juventus 2-1 on aggregate, ruining the Old Lady's chances of playing in the May 14 final at their home stadium.

At Valencia, Spain:

Stephane M'bia scored the series-winning goal in second-half stoppage time (90'+5) as Sevilla, which had won the tournament twice (2006, 2007, when it was known as the UEFA Cup), despite dropping a 3-1 game-two road decision to fellow Spanish club Valencia, won their series on away goals with the aggregate score at 3-3.

The Eagles, who lost the final in 1983 and 2013 and the Red and Whites (also known as The Bathtubs), who as mentioned before, had twice won the tournament, will face off in the Europa League final at Juventus Stadium in Turin, Italy on Wednesday, May 14.
