Mohamed Abdul Shafy scored the winning goal in the 81st minute as Zamalek defeated visiting Al-Hilal Omdurman 2-1.
Group B:
At Omdurman, Sudan:
In a match played in Sudan due to security issues in Libya, Edward Sadomba (4'), Farag Mbarak (12'), and Moses Orkuma (44') each delivered a first-half goal as Libya's Al-Ahli Benghazi defeated visiting Esperance ST 3-1.
