At Alexandria:
After a 2-2 regulation draw, followed by 30 scoreless overtime minutes, Ibrahim Amada, Romain Metraine, Thomas Fontaine, and Jerome Mombris converted their spot kicks as Madagascar won the penalty-kick shootout 4-2 over the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
At Cairo:
Mohamed Belaili (24'), Riyad Mahrez (57'), and Adam Ounas (82') each scored once as Algeria dominated Guinea 3-0.
