Two games were playedd on Wednesday to close out the quarterfinal round of the Leagues Cup.
At Houston:
Following a 1-1 regulation draw, and with overtime dispensed with, Nicolas Castillo, Victor Aguilera, Andres Uribe, Andres Ibarguen, Nicolas Benedetti, and Giovanni dos Santos each converted a spot kick as visiting Club America knocked off the Houston Dynamo 6-5 in a penalty-kick shootout that lasted seven rounds.
At Sandy, Utah:
Edaurdo Vargas scored the only goal of the match in the 57th minute as Tigres defeated Real Salt Lake 1-0 on the road.
