At New York:
Anton Tinnerholm (41'), Heber (54'), and Alexander Ring (77') each scored once as New York City defeated visiting Sporting Kansas City 3-1.
At Los Angeles:
Adama Diomande (33'), Diego Rossi (38'), Carlos Vela (PK-42'), and Eduard Atuesta (45') each scored a goal during a 12-minute span in the first half as the Los Angeles Football Club hung on for a 4-3 home win over Atlanta United.
