Goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher saved Steph Houghton's penalty kick late in the second half to preserve the victory for the defending champs.
The Americans will face the winner of Wednesday's Netherlands-Sweden game in Sunday's final, also at Olympique Lyonnais Park in Decines-Charpieu at 8:00 AM Pacific Time (FOX).
