Group-stage play in the African Nations Cup continued on Sunday in Egypt with four games.
GROUP A:
At Cairo International Stadium, Cairo:
Mohamed Salah (36') and Ahmed El Mohamady (45'+1) each scored once as Egypt defeated Uganda 2-0 as both teams locked up berths in the knockout stage.
At June 30 Stadium, Cairo:
Cedric Bakambu scored twice (34', PK-65') as the Democratic Republic of the Congo demolished Zimbabwe 4-0 to keep their chances of advancing to the knockout stage alive.
Final Group A Standings:
1. Egypt (GP: 3; GD: +5; PTS: 9)
2. Uganda (GP: 3; GD: 0; PTS: 4)
3. Democratic Republic of the Congo (GP: 3; GD: 0; PTS: 3)
4. Zimbabwe (GP: 3; GD: -5; PTS: 1)
Egypt and Uganda advanced to the knockout stage; the Democratic Republic of the Congo can do so likewise by being one of the four third-placed finishers with the best records.
GROUP B:
At Alexandria:
Lalaina Nomenjanahary (13') and Carolus Andriamatsinoro (53') each scored once as Madagascar blanked Nigeria in a match between two teams that will play in the knockout stage with the island country topping Group B.
At Cairo:
Mohamed Yattara scored twice (25', 52') as Guinea blanked Burundi 2-0 to advance to the knockout stage.

2. Nigeria (GP: 3; GD: 0; PTS: 6)
