MLS: Independence Day Wins For Hoops, Revs, Galaxy

Thursday, which happened to be Independence Day, saw three games contested in Major League Soccer.

At Frisco, Texas:

Santiago Mosquera (6') and Dominique Badji (65') each scored once as FC Dallas blanked visiting DC United 2-0.

At Commerce City, Colorado:

In a match delayed by three hours and 34 minutes due to severe weather, with Teal Bunbury (8') and Juan Fernando Caicedo (52') each scoring once as the New England Revolution knocked off the Colorado Rapids 2-1, ending the hosts' seven-game in-league unbeaten streak.

At Carson, California:

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored twice (75', 89') as the Los Angeles Galaxy blanked visiting Toronto FC 2-0.
