MLS: Timbers Knock Off CityZens In The Bronx On Two-Draw Sunday

Three games were contested on Sunday in Major League Soccer.

At Atlanta:

Daniel Royer (37'), Brian White (60'), and Bradley Wright-Phillips (90'+3) each scored once as the New York Red Bulls gained a 3-3 road draw with Atlanta United.

Josef Martinez scored twice (PK-79', 90'+1) and Justin Meram once (10') for the Five Stripes.

At Chester, Pennsylvania:

In a contest rescheduled from Saturday due to nasty weather, Marco Fabian (4') and Kacper Przybylko (90') each scored once as the Philadelphia Union gained a 2-2 home deadlock with Orlando City.

Dom Dwyer (67') and Santiago Pitino (81') each tallied once for the Lions.

At New York:

Sebastian Blanco scored the only goal of the match in the 14th minute while goalkeeper Steve Clark made five saves to preserve both the shutout and victory as the Portland Timbers snapped New York City's franchise-record 12-game unbeaten run 1-0 on the road.
