Despite dropping a 3-1 road verdict in game two--and finishing with ten men in the process---Debreceni VSC still advanced because of away goals (3-3). Estudiantes Capture Copa Libertadores Crown Number Four
At Belo Horizonte, Brazil:
Goals from Gaston Fernandez (57') and Mauro Boselli (73') lifted Estudiantes to come from behind to defeat Cruzeiro 2-1 on the road in game two of the finals of this year's Copa Libertadores to capture the South American club championship on points (3-0) over their Brazilian opponents. It is the La Plata, Argentina-based club's fourth Copa title, but their first since 1970.
The Argentinian club will represent COMNEBOL, South America's soccer confederation, in this coming December's FIFA Club World Cup, which will be played in the United Arab Emirates.

Mexico Tops Guadeloupe To Win Group C; Both Teams Joined By Panama In Quarterfinals
Group stage play in the CONCACAF Gold Cup concluded Sunday with a Group C doubleheader in Glendale, Arizona.
In the opener, Luis Tejada doubled (76', 88') as Panama blasted Nicaragua 4-0 to claim a berth in the quarterfinal round. The Panamanians' win eliminated Jamaica from the tournament.

Estudiantes Reach Copa Final
At Montevideo, Uruguay:
Mauro Boselli's double (52', 90') paced Estudiantes to a 2-1 road win over Club Nacional in game two of the two clubs' two-match Copa Libertadores semifinal series, with the Argentinian club winning the series 6 points to 0.

Mauro Boselli's double (52', 90') paced Estudiantes to a 2-1 road win over Club Nacional in game two of the two clubs' two-match Copa Libertadores semifinal series, with the Argentinian club winning the series 6 points to 0.
They will take on the winner of the other semifinal series between Brazilian clubs Gremio and Cruzeiro in the two-game final which will begin on July 8 in either Belo Horizonte (Cruzeiro) or Porto Alegre (Gremio), Brazil, with the return match at La Plata, Argentina on July 15.
