The second week of the second qualifying round for the 2009-2010 UEFA Champions League started with nine games on Tuesday.
At Baku, Azerbaijan:
Felipe Almeida's second-half double (59', 77') was part of a offensive barrage that caried FK Baki to a 4-2 game two home win over FK Ekrans, and a 6-4 aggregate win for the two-match series.
At Borisov, Belarus:
Sergei Sosnovski (83') and Vitali Rodionov (90'+3) scored late as FC BATE Borisov secured a second 2-0 win, this time at home, over FK Makedonija Skopje and finished off their Macedonian rivals 4-0 on aggregate.
At Andorra La Vella, Andorra:
Maryan Ognyanov (23', 40') doubled in the first half and Hristo Yovov (34'), Ivan Tsachev (83'), and Alexandar Kirov (87') each contributed a goal as PFC Levski Sofia mauled Sant Julia 5-0 on the road in game two and complete their two-match demolition of the Andorran club 9-0 on aggregate. The Bulgarian club will next take on FK Baku in the third qualifying round.
At Tirsapol, Moldova:
Alexandru Suvurov (PK-69') provided the only goal of game two as FC Sheriff registered a second successive 1-0 over Inter Turku and eliminated the Finnish club 2-0 on aggregate. Slavia Prague is next for the Moldolvan club.
At Nicosia, Cyprus:
Marcin Zewlakow (42'), Nektarios Alexandrou (63), and Nenad Mirosavljevic (75') each scored once as APOEL smothered visiting EB/Streymur 3-0 in game two and took the two-match set easily on aggregate, 5-0.
At Bratislava, Slovakia:
Juraj Halenar doubled (13', 60') and Gaucho (19') and Jakub Sylvestr (90'+2) contributed a tally each as Slovan Bratislava overturned last week's road loss in Bosnia, beating visiting NK Zrinjski 4-0 in game two and taking the two-match set, 4-1, on aggregate. The Sky Blues will next take on Olympiacos in the third qualifying round.
At Zagreb, Croatia:
Marijo Mandzukic (30'), Milan Badelj (61'), and Dejan Lovren (66') each scored once as NK Dinamo Zagreb blanked visiting Pyunik 3-0 in game two to take the two-match set 3-0 on aggregate (last week's contest in Armenia resulted in a scoreless draw).
At Oslo, Norway:
Pontus Segerstrom's double (15', 17') helped guide Stabaek to a 4-0 home fistbeating of KF Tirana in match two, leading the Nowegian club to a 5-1 aggregate win in their two-game series with the Albanian club.
At Belgrade, Serbia:
Cleverson's hat trick (17', 51',PK-72') and Brana Ilic's double (38', 63') were instrumental in Partizan Belgrade's 8-0 game-two annihilation of visiting Rhyl FC, enabling the Serbian club to finish their two-match nuking of the Welsh club 12-0 on aggregate. Partizan will next battle APOEL in the third qualifying round.
