Georgi Hristov's double (64', 72') was part of a second half offensive barage as PFC Levski Sofia blasted nine-man UE Sant Julia at home 4-0 in the series opener for both clubs.
At Haifa, Israel:
Vladimer Dvalishvili scored twice (57', 81') as Maccabi Haifa FC mauled visiting Glantoran FC in game one 6-0.
At Debrecen, Hungary:
Powered by goals from Jozsef Varga (73') and Zoltan Kiss (86') enabled Debrecen VSC to blank visiting Kalmar FF 2-0 in game one.
At Tirana, Albania:
Devis Mujak's goal at 50 minutes enabled KF Tirana to salvage a game-one 1-1 home draw with Stabaek IF. The Norwegian club, though, did get what could be a critical away goal from Daigo Kobayashi at 34 mintes.
At Copenhagen, Denmark:
Dame Ndoye tallied twice (69', 74') as FC Copenhagen all but locked up a berth in the third qualifying round. The Lions brassknuckled visiting Mogren 6-0 in game one.
At Salzburg, Austria:
Joseph Ndo's equalizer at 60 minutes gained a series-opening 1-1 road draw for Bohemian FC against FC Red Bull Salzburg, whose lone score in the opening match came at 25 minutes from Milan Dudic.
At Mostar, Bosnia-Herzegovina:
Kresimir Kordic scored the opening game's lone goal at 48 minutes as NK Zrinjski topped visiting SK Slovan Bratislava 1-0.
At Sosnowiec, Poland:
Piotr Cwielong's very late equalizer (90'+3) enabled Wisla Krakow to salvage a game one 1-1 home draw with FC Levadia Tallinn. The Estonian visitors gained what might be a precious road goal from Nikita Andreev at 41 minutes.
At Hafnarfjordur, Iceland:
Konstantin Golovskoy's second-half brace (57', 85') helped FK Aktobe bury FH Hafnarfjordur on the road , 4-0, in game one.
