Both matches in the semifinal round of the North American SuperLiga were part of a doubleheader that took place Wednesday at Foxborough, Massachusetts.
In the opener, Brian McBride (34') and Cuauhtemoc Blanco (63') provided the scoring punch that lifted the Chicago Fire to a 2-1 win over the New England Revolution.
In the nightcap, goals from Jesus Molina (3'), Francisco Fonseca (19'), and Itamar Batista Da Silva (83') guided Tigres to a 3-2 triumph over fellow Mexican club Santos Laguna.
The final between Tigres and the Chicago Fire will take place on August 5 at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Illinois.
