Guadeloupe Clinch Berth In Quarterfinals (Likewise Team USA And Canada); Mexico Held To Draw By Panama

Action in Group C play in the CONCACAF Gold Cup resumed Thursday with a doubleheader in Houston.

In the opener, Stephane Auvray (57') and Ludovic Gotin (59') provided the goals as Guadeloupe clinch a berth in the quarterfinal round with a 2-0 blanking of Nicaragua.

In the nightcap, Blas Perez scored at 29 minutes as Panama gained a 1-1 draw with Mexico, whose goal came in the 10th minute from Miguel Sabah.
