CONCACAF CL: Crew, RSL, Santos Win Group Stage Openers; Scoreless In San Salvador

Four games were played on Wednesday as the opening week of group stage play in the CONCACAF Champions League continued.

Group A:

At Sandy, Utah:

Alvaro Saborio scored twice (45', PK-90'+4) as Real Salt Lake came from behind to defeat Panama's Arabe Unido.

Jose Maria Cardenas' quadruple (9', 24', 66', 76') carried Santos Laguna to a 5-2 road win over Joe Public FC.


At Columbus, Ohio:


Emmanuel Ekpo scored the game's lone goal at 14 minutes as the Columbus Crew defeated Guatemala's CSD Municipal 1-0 at home.
