CONCACAF CL: RSL Blow Lead In Soaky Mexico City While Sounders Fall Against Striped Gang In Another Bad Night For MLS Clubs

Three games were played on Wednesday as Match Day #2 in the group stage of the CONCACAF Champions League continued.

Group A:

At Mexico City:

Javier Orozco had a four-goal night (5', 76', 87', 89') and Christian Gimenez scored the game winner (90'+3) as Cruz Azul overcame a 3-1 deficit and overtook visiting Real Salt Lake 5-4 in a contest that saw heavy rains turn the pitch at Azul Stadium into a wetland.

Goals from Neri Cordozo (41') and Aldo de Nigris (58') carried Monterrey to a 2-0 win on the road against Seattle Sounders FC.

At Bayamon, Puerto Rico:


Jonathan Fana scored twice in the first half (22', 45'+1) as the Puerto Rico Islanders dominated visiting CD FAS 4-1.
