Goals in the first half from Marco Pappa (4'), Collins John (5'), and Mike Banner (19') enabled the Chicago Fire to hold off the Los Angeles Galaxy 3-2 Sunday on the road in the lone Major League Soccer match. Landon Donovan scored both Los Angeles goals on penalty kicks (36', 80'), the first marking his 100th MLS career goal.
