At Skopje, Macedonia:
Elmin Kurbegovic (43') and Amadou Jawo (56') each scored a goal as IF Elfsborg defeated FK Teteks 2-1 on the road in game two and won their two-match series handily, 7-1 on aggregate.
At Belgrade, Serbia:
Harry Kewell scored twice (22', PK-57') as Galatasaray smothered OFK Belgrade 5-1 on the road in game one and took their two-game series 7-3 on aggregate.
At Ostrava, Czech Republic:
Vladimir Yurchenko (PK-24') and Igor Zenkovich (70') provided the scoring that carried FC Dnepr Mogilev to a 2-1 win on the road in game two over FC Banik Ostrava and a 3-1 aggregate win in the two-game series.
At Zestaponi, Georgia:
Denys Kozhanov scored the only goal of the match (90'+1) as FC Karpaty Lviv rang up a second straight 1-0 win over FC Zestafoni, this time on the road in game two, and took the two-game series 2-0 on aggregate.
At Baku, Azerbaijan:
Three goals scored within seven minutes in the first half---Afran Ismayilov (28'), Raut Aliyev (33'), and Rashad A. Sadygov (35')---carried FK Qarabag to a 3-2 win over visiting Wisla Krakow in game two and a 4-2 aggregate win for the two-game set.
At Minsk, Belarus:
Anton Putilo scored twice in the second half (54', 90') as Dinamo Minsk overturned their opening-match defeat in Israel from last week, beating Maccabi Haifa 3-1 at home in game two and took the two-game series 3-2 on aggregate.
At Tbilisi, Georgia:
Samir Muratovic scored on a successful penalty kick at 40 minutes as SK Sturm Graz came back to gain a 1-1 road draw in game two with Dinamo Tbilisi, enough for the Austrian club to win their two-game series 3-1 on aggregate.
At Lamaca, Cyprus:
Catu's hat trick (45'+1, 60', 87') carried Anorthosis Famagusta FC to a 3-1 victory at home in game two against Cercle Brugge, enabling the Cypriot club to erase the 1-0 defeat suffered last week in Belgium and take the two-game series 3-2 on aggregate.
At Limassol, Cyprus:
FC Sibir Novosibirsk dropped a 2-1 decision on the road in game two against Apollon Limassol FC, but thanks to Igor Shevchenko's goal at 63 minutes, the visiting club from Russia, with the score at 2-2 on aggregate for the two-game series, advanced to the playoff round due to the away goals rule.
At Gothenburg, Sweden:
Despite a 1-0 loss on the road in game two against IFK Gothenburg, AZ Alkmaar still won their two-match set 2-1 on aggregate.
At Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine:
Thanks to goals courtesy of Yevhen Seleznyov (45') and Mario Holek (48'), FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk overturned their 2-1 road defeat of last week with a 2-0 home win in game two against Serbian club FK Spartak Zlatibor Voda and won their two-game series 3-2 on aggregate.
At Timisoara, Romania:
Micea Axente (53'), Ianis Zicu (80'), and Marian Cisovsky (90'+2) each scored a goal in the second half as FC Timisoara erased a 3-0 halftime deficit to gain a 3-3 home draw with MYPA in game two, enabling the Romanian club to win their two-game series 5-4 on aggregate.
At Brondby, Denmark:
Ousman Jallow scored the only goal of the match at 11 minutes as Brondby IF defeated Buducnost Podgorica 1-0 in game two at home and won their two-match series 3-1 on aggregate.
At Lausanne, Switzerland:
Rodrigo Tosi's goal at 68 lifted FC Lausanne-Sport to a 1-1 draw with visiting Randers FC in game two, enabling the club that currently plays in the second division of Swiss soccer to win their two-game series 4-3 on aggregate.
At Zurich, Switzerland:
First-half tallies from Nana Asare (13'), Ricky van Wolfswinkel (22'), and Michael Silberbauer (28') carried FC Utrecht to a 3-1 road win in match two with FC Luzern and a 4-1 aggregate
victory for the two-legged tie.
At Sofia, Bulgaria:
Doubles from Garra Dembele (12', 70') and Ismail Isa (90'+1, 90'+2) carried Levski Sofia to a 5-2 home win over Kalmar FF in the second game of their two-game series, which the Bulgarian club won 6-3 on aggregate.
At Thessaloniki, Greece:
Danijel Cesarec scored twice (19', PK-75) as Aris Thessaloniki FC gained a 2-2 home draw with Jagiellonia Bialystok and won their two-game series 4-3 on aggregate.
At Genk, Belgium:
KRC Genk defeated visiting Inter Turku 3-2 in game two and won their two-match series 8-3 on aggregate. Marvin Ogunjimi (24'), Daniel Tozser (PK-80'), and Stein Huysegems (85') each scored once for the hosts.
At Istanbul, Turkey:
Besiktas, thanks to goals from Ricardo Quaresma (39'), Matias Delgado (57'), and Filip Holosko (71'), overpowered visiting FC Viktoria Plzen 3-0 in game three and won their two-match series 4-1 on aggregate.
At Tel Aviv, Israel:
Roberto Colautti scored the only goal of the match at 42 minutes as Maccabi Tel Aviv won game two at home 1-0 over Olympiacos and, with the score 2-2 on aggregate, won the two-game series on away goals.
At Jablonec nad Nisou, Czech Republic:
APOEL FC, with goals from Paulo Jorge (24'), Constantinos Charalambides (28'), and Esteban Solari (38'), defeated FK Jablonec 3-1 on the road in game two and won their two-game series 4-1 on aggregate.
At Wrexham, Wales:
Adilson (48') and Marquinho (58') each tallied once as CS Maritimo won game two 2-1 on the road and finished off Bangor City FC in their two-match series convincingly 10-3 on aggregate.
At Bratislava, Slovakia:
Slavoljub Djordjevic scored an own goal at 2 minutes that ultimately proved costly as Slovan Bratislava gained a 1-1 home draw with Red Star Belgrade and won their two-game series 3-2 on aggregate.
At Vienna, Austria:
Julian Baumgartlinger scored twice (10', 21') as Austria Vienna manhandled visiting Ruch Chorzow 3-0 in game two and finished their two-game domination of the Polish club 6-1 on aggregate.
At Stuttgart, Germany:
Pavel Pogrebnyak (55') and Timo Gebhart (90'+3) each delivered a goal as VfB Stuttgart erased a two-goal deficit and gained a 2-2 draw in their second contest with visiting Molde FK and won their two-game series 5-4 on aggregate.
At Split, Croatia:
Hajduk Split wiped out their 3-1 road defeat from last week as goals from Ante Vukusic (12'), Mario Brkljaca (23'), and Marin Tomasov (38') carried the Croatian club to a 3-0 home win in game two over Dinamo Bucharest and a 4-3 aggregate win for the two-match series.
At Belfast, Northern Ireland:
Tomi Kostadinov (85') and Marquinhos (88') each tallied once late in the second half as CSKA Sofia defeated Cliftonville FC 2-1 on the road in game one and won their two-game series 5-1 on aggregate.
At Modena, Italy:
Alessandro Del Piero scored the only goal of the match (74') as Juventus defeated visiting Shamrock Rovers 1-0 in game two to win their two-match series 3-0 on aggregate.
At Edinburgh, Scotland:
Marcos scored twice (20', 73') as Maribor defeated Hibernian 3-2 on the road in game two and won their two-match set 6-2 on aggregate.
At Lisbon, Portugal:
Thanks to goals from Helder Postiga (24') and Maniche (90'+2), Sporting defeated visiting FC Nordsjaelland 2-1 in game two and won their two-game series 3-1 on aggregate.
At Motherwell, Scotland:
With goals courtesy of Jamie Murphy (3'), John Suttun (13'), and Jonathan Page (80'), Motherwell delivered a 3-0 home beatdown on Aalesund in game two and took out the Norwegian club 4-1 on aggregate in the series.
At Liverpool, England:
Liverpool registered a second straight 2-0 win over FK Rabotnicki, this time at home in game two, and took out the Macedonian club 4-0 on aggregate. David Ngog (22') and Steven Gerard (PK-40') each tallied a goal for Roy Hodgson's Reds.
At Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina:
A 0-0 road stalemate in game two was good enough for Odense BK as the Danish club won their two-game series with HSK Zrinjski Mostar 5-3 on aggregate.
At Montpellier, France:
After Valentin Babic scored 40 minutes, enabling Gyori ETO FC to win game two of their two-match set with Montpellier 1-0 on the road, squaring the series at 1-1 on aggregate to force 30 scoreless minutes of overtime, the visiting Hungarian club won the penalty-kick shootout 4-3, with Tibor Tokody converting the winning penalty kick.
NOTE: There will be a drawing for the Europa League playoff round scheduled to take place Friday at Nyon, Switzerland.
