Copa Libertadores: Despite Losing Game Two, Internacional Still Advances To Final On Away Goals----And Win Right To Represent CONMEBOL In FIFA Club World Cup

At Sao Paulo, Brazil:

Despite dropping a 2-1 decision on the road in game two of their two-match Copa Libertadores semifinal series with Sao Paulo, Internacional still won their two-match set on away goals (with each team garnering three points).  Since their opponent in the final, Chivas de Guadalajara, was an invited entry from Mexico, a country not a member of CONMEBOL (they play in CONCACAF), Internacional also won the right to represent South America in December's FIFA Club World Cup, to be played in the United Arab Emirates.  Alecsandro scored the goal that put the Porto Alegre, Brazil club through to the final at 52 minutes.

The two-match final will start next Wednesday at Zapopan, Mexico, with the return contest on August 18 at Porto Alegre, Brazil.
