At Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso:
Despite dropping a 1-0 game-two road decision to Rail Club du Kadiogo, Algeria's USM Alger still won their series 2-1 on aggregate and advanced to the group stage.
At Omdurman, Sudan:
In their best Barcelona vs. PSG fashion, Al-Merrikh overcame their series-opening 3-0 road defeat with a 4-0 home demolition of Rivers United in game two and upended the Nigerian club 4-3 on aggregate.
At Rabat, Morocco:
Despite dropping a 3-1 game-two road decision to FUS Rabat, Al-Ahli Tripoli, with the aggregate score at 3-3, advanced to the group stage on away goals.
At Kampala, Uganda:
A 1-1 road draw in game two against the Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club lifted Mamelodi Sundowns to a 3-2 series victory on aggregate. Anthony Laffor scored for the South African club in the 81st minute to secure Sundowns passage to the group stage.
At Liberville, Gabon:
After FC Mounana gained a 1-0 home decision in game two against Wydad Casablanca which squared the series at 1-1 on aggregate, and with overtime dispensed with, the Moroccan club won the penalty-kick shootout 5-4 to advance to the group stage.
At Lusaka, Zambia:
Despite being held to a 0-0 game-two home stalemate by Tanzania's Young Africans, Zanaco, with the aggregate score at 1-1, advanced on away goals.
At Antananarivo, Madagascar:
A 1-1 game-two road draw with CNaPS Sport in game two enabled Cameroon's Coton Sport to win their series 2-1 on aggregate.
