Copa Libertadores: Group Stage Continues

The group stage of the Copa Libertadores continued on Wednesday with four games. 

GROUP FOUR:

At Rio de Janeiro:

Diego (48'), Miguel Trauco (61'), Romulo (70'), and Gabriel Santana Pinto (87') each scored once in the second half as Flamengo broke open what was at halftime a scoreless stalemate and demolished visiting San Lorenzo 4-0.

Group Four Standings:

1. Flamengo (GP: 1; GD: +4; PTS: 3)
2. Universidad Catolica (GP: 1; GD: 0; PTS: 1)
3. Atletico Paraenense (GP: 1; GD: 0; PTS: 1)
4. San Lorenzo (GP: 1; GD: -4; PTS: 0)



GROUP FIVE:

At Tucuman, Argentina:

Keno delivered the equalizer in the 39th minute which lifted Palmeiras to a 1-1 road draw with Atletico Tucuman.  Fernando Zampedri tallied for the hosts at 24 minutes.

1. Jorge Wilstermann (GP: 1; GD: +4; PTS: 3)
2. Palmeiras (GP: 1; GD: 0; PTS: 1)
3. Atletico Tucuman (GP: 1; GD: 0; PTS: 1)
4. Penarol (GP: 1; GD: -4; PTS: 0)



GROUP SIX:

At Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia:

Santiago Salcedo scored twice (61',PK-73') and Jesus Medina once (28') to carry Club Libertad to a 3-3 road draw with Sport Boys.  Jose Alfredo Castillo (39'), Alexis Messidoro (69'), and Cristian Coimbra (81') each scored once for the hosts.

At Mendoza, Argentina:

Fred's successful penalty kick in the 50th minute lifted Atletico Mineiro to a 1-1 road draw with Godoy Cruz.  Javier Correa scored for the hosts in the opening minute of the match.

1. Club Libertad (GP: 1; GD: 0; PTS: 1)
2. Sport Boys (GP: 1; GD: 0; PTS: 1)
3. Atletico Mineiro (GP: 1; GD: 0; PTS: 1)
