More Champions League Frustration For MLS

Three more two-match sets in the 2009-10 CONCACAF Champions League's preliminary round commenced on Wednesday.

At Toronto:

Kendall Jagdeosingh scored the only goal of the match (67') as one of last season's semifinalists, the Puerto Rico Islanders downed Toronto FC 1-0 on the road in the first game of their two-match series.

At Panama City, Panama:

Carlos Vilarete (PK-5') and Temistocles Perez (83') provided the scoring as San Francisco FC defeated visiting San Juan Jabloteh 2-0 in their series opener.

At Alajuela, Costa Rica:

Municipal Liberia Mia took game one 3-0 over visiting Real Espana of Honduras. Alejandro Alpizar scored twice (75', 90') for the hosts.
