CAF Champions League

Eight games were contested on Tuesday as group-stage play in the CAF Champions League resumed----and reached its' midway point.

GROUP A:

At Rades, Tunisia:

Bilel Mejri scored the winning goal in the 81st minute as Esperance de Tunis overcame a two-goal deficit and upended visiting KCCA 3-2.

At Alexandria, Egypt:

Walid Azarou (36'), Ali Maaloul (PK-75'), and Islam Mohareb (79') each scored a goal as Al-Ahly dominated visiting Township Rollers 3-0.

Group A Standings:

1. Esperance de Tunis (GP: 3; GD: +4; PTS: 7)
2. Al-Ahly (GP: 3; GD: +1; PTS: 4)
3. Township Rovers (GP: 3; GD: -5; PTS; 3)
4. KCCA (GP: 3; GD: 0; PTS: 3)

NOTE:  Township Rovers defeated KCCA 1-0 at home on May 4.



GROUP B:

At Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo:

Mechak Elia scored the game's lone goal in the 88th minute as TP Mazembe defeated visiting MC Alger 1-0.

At Sefit, Algeria:

ES Setif, with El Habib Bouguelmouna (21') and Houssam Ghacha (89') producing the goal power, defeated visiting Difaa El Jadida 2-1.

Group B Standings:

2. MC Alger (GP: 3; GD: 0; PTS: 4)
3. ES Setif (GP: 3; GD: -3; PTS: 3)

GROUP C:

At Lome, Togo:

Ayi Hunlede scored the only goal of the match in the 40th minute as AS Togo-Port defeated visiting Mamelodi Sundowns 1-0.

At Conakry, Guinea:

Ocansey Mandela's equalizer in the 29th minute lifted Horoya to a 1-1 home deadlock with Wydad Casablanca.

Ismael El Haddad scored for the Moroccan club in the 26th minute.

At Manzini, Swaziland:

Karim Aouadhi (14'), Maher Hannachi (12'), and Amine Chermiti (71') each scored once as Etoile du Sahel dominated Mbabane Swallows 3-0 on the road.

At Ndola, Zambia:

ZESCO United and visiting August 1st Club battled to a 0-0 stalemate.
