At Glasgow, Scotland:

Odsonne Edouard scored twice (43', 75') as Celtic defeated visiting Rosenborg 3-1 in the opening contest of their two-game series with the Norwegian club.

At Amsterdam, Netherlands:

Hakim Ziyech (15') and Lasse Schone (57') each scored once as Ajax Amsterdam blanked visiting Sturm Graz 2-0 in their series-opening contest.
