UEFA Champions League Qualifying: Sheriff, Trond Kids, Bhoys, Qarabag Advance

Six games were contested on Wednesday as the first round of UEFA Champions League qualifying concluded.

At Tiraspol, Moldova:

Jo Santos scored twice (40', 55') as FC Sheriff overcame their 2-1 series-opening defeat in Georgia by dominating visiting Torpedo Kutaisi 3-0 in game two and won their series 4-2 on aggregate.

At Baku, Azerbaijan:

A 0-0 game-two stalemate with visiting Olimpija Ljubljana was good enough for Qarabag as the Azerbaijani club won their series with the Slovenian club 1-0 on aggregate.

At Trondheim, Norway:

Nicklas Bendtner scored twice (PK-55', PK-90'+4) as Rosenborg overcame their series-opening defeat in Iceland with a 3-1 game-two home win over Valur and won their series 3-2 on aggregate.

At Glasgow, Scotland:

Moussa Dembele scored twice (8', PK-19') as Celtic posted another 3-0 victory over Alashkert, this time at home in game two, and ousted the Armenian club 3-0.

At Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina:

Boris Godal scored the series-winning goal in the 21st minute as Spartak Trnava gained a 1-1 game-two road deadlock with Zrinjski Mostar and won their series 2-1 on aggregate.

At Niksic, Montenegro:

Dorde Despotovic (38') and Serikzhan Muzhikov (55') each scored once as Astana blanked Sutjeska Niksic 2-0 on the road in game two and finished off the Montenegrin club 3-0 on aggregate.
