CAF Champions League

Group-stage play in the CAF Champions League reached its' two-thirds mark on Saturday with four games.

GROUP A:

At Kira, Uganda:

Haythem Jouini scored the only goal of the match in the 41st minute as Esperance de Tunis locked up a berth in the quarterfinal round following their 1-0 road win over KCCA.

At Gaborone, Botswana:

Salif Coulibaly scored the only goal of the match in the 81st minute as Al-Ahly defeated Township Rollers 1-0 on the road.

Group A Standings:

2.    Al-Ahly (GP: 4; GD: +2; PTS: 7)
3.    Township Rollers (GP: 4; GD: -6; PTS: 3)

NOTE:  Township Rollers defeated visiting KCCA 1-0 on May 4.

GROUP B:

At Blida, Algeria:

Walid Derardja's equalizer in the 70th minute lifted MC Alger to a 1-1 home draw with TP Mazembe.

Meschak Elia scored for the Congolese club in the 48th minute.

GROUP C:

At Casablanca, Morocco:

Cheick Comara (12') and Mohammed Ounajem (18') each scored an early goal as Wydad Casablanca blanked visiting Horoya 2-0.
