UEFA Champions League

Eight more games were contested on Wednesday as the UEFA Champions League's first qualifying round reached its' midway point.

At Marijampole, Lithuania:

Rigino Cicilia produced a natural hat trick in the first 20 minutes (9', 13', 19') as Suduva Marijampole defeated visiting APOEL FC 3-1 in the opening match of their two-game series.

At Ljubljana, Croatia:

Wilde-Donald Guerrier scored the only goal of the match in the 79th minute as Qarabag defeated Olimpija Ljubljana 1-0 on the road in their series opener.

At Razgrad, Bulgaria:

Jakub Swierczok produced a hat trick (73', 78', 80') while Marcelo Nascimento da Costa (a.k.a. Marcelinho) added a double (25', 66') as Ludogorets Razgrad destroyed visiting Crusaders 7-0 in their series opener.

At Reykjavik, Iceland:

Eldur Sigurbjornsson scored the only goal of the match in the 84th minute as Valur took the opening game of their series with Rosenborg BK 1-0 at home.

At Shkoder, Albania:

Kukesi and visiting Valletta battled to a series-opening 0-0 stalemate.

At Riga, Latvia:

The opening match between Spartaks Jurmala and visiting Red Star Belgrade ended in a 0-0 deadlock.

Trnava, Slovakia:

Erik Jirka scored the only goal of the match in the 79th minute as Spartak Trnava took the opening game of their series with Zrinjski Mostar 1-0 at home.

At Astana, Kazakhstan:

Roman Murtazayev's successful penalty kick in the 29th minute lifted Astana to a series-opening 1-0 home win over Sutjeska Niksic of Montenegro.
