MLS:

Eight Major League Soccer games were contested on Saturday.

At Montreal:

Josef Martinez scored twice (31', 57') as Atlanta United held off the visiting Montreal Impact 2-1.

At Harrison, New Jersey:

Goals from Jonathan Mensah (7'), Patrick Mullins (24'), and Sean Davis (OG-31') each scored once as the Columbus Crew held off the New York Red Bulls 3-2.

At Toronto:

Jozy Altidore (52'), Jonathan Osorio (72'), and Sebastian Giovinco (89') each scored once as Toronto FC dominated the visiting Chicago Fire 3-0.

At Washington:

Wayne Rooney scored his first career MLS goal in the 33rd minute while Niki Jackson's own goal in the 90th minute proved to be the game winner as DC United defeated the visiting Colorado Rapids 2-1.

At Kansas City, Kansas:

After having not scored in nearly a year, Michael Barrios produced a hat trick (23', 62', 74') as FC Dallas knocked off Sporting Kansas City 3-2 on the road.

At Vancouver, British Columbia:

Bayern Munich-bound Alphonso Davies scored twice (56', 82') as the Vancouver Whitecaps doubled up visiting Minnesota United 4-2.

At San Jose, California:

The San Jose Earthquakes and visiting Real Salt Lake battled to a 0-0 stalemate.

At Portland, Oregon:

Fanendo Adi, in what was his final game with the club, scored the winning goal in the 80th minute as the Portland Timbers stretched their MLS unbeaten run to 14 games by knocking off the visiting Houston Dynamo 2-1.
