Jesus Medina (60'), Ronald Matarrita (65'), and Jonathan Lewis (76') each scored a second-half goal as New York City broke open what was a scoreless stalemate at halftime and ended the Montreal Impact's four-game winning streak by dominating the guests 3-0.
At Bridgeview, Illinois:
Corey Burke scored twice (45'+3, 73') while David Accam haunted his former club with the winning goal (90'+5) as the Philadelphia Union knocked off the Chicago Fire 4-3 on the road.
Haris Medunjanin led off the scoring for Philly in minute #31.
