Europa League Qualifying

The opening round of Europa League qualifying concluded on Thursday with 43----count 'em----43 games.

At Tallinn, Estonia:

Despite dropping a 1-0 game-two road decision to Nomme Kalju, Iceland's Starnan won their series 3-1 on aggregate.

At Sofia, Bulgaria:

Galin Ivanov scored twice (36', 56') as Slavia Sofia defeated visiting Ilves 2-1 in game two and won their series 3-1 on aggregate.

At Vilnius, Lithuania:

Liviu Antal's goal in the sixth minute enabled Zalgiris to gain a 1-1 game-two home draw with Ki Klaksvik and win their series with the Faroese club 3-2 on aggregate.

At Mitrovica, Kosovo:

After a second 0-0 stalemate, followed by 30 scoreless overtime minutes, Stefano Bensi, Samir Hadji, Peter Chrappan, Ryan Klapp, and Gerard Mersch all converted their spot kicks as guests Fola Esch defeated Prishtina 5-4 in the penalty-kick shootout which lasted eight rounds.

At Molde, Norway:

Eirik Hestad produced a hat trick (34', 59', 90') as Molde FK demolished visiting Glenavon 5-1 in game two and ousted the club from Northern Ireland 6-3 on aggregate.

At Tbilisi, Georgia:

Yakoun Bayo scored twice (86', 90'+4) as DAC Dunajska Streda, just moments from elimination, instead knocked off Dinamo Tbilisi 2-1 on the road and won their series 3-2 on aggregate.

At Nicosia, Cyprus:

Hector Yuste scored twice (7', 62') as Apollon Limassol overcame their series-opening road defeat by blanking visiting Stumbras 2-0 in game two and took out the Lithuanian club 2-1 on aggregate.

At Domzale, Slovenia:

Dario Malnjak scored the series-winning goal in the 11th minute as Domzale gained a 1-1 game-two home draw with Siroki Brijeg, and won the series on away goals with the aggregate score at 3-3.

At Differdange, Luxembourg:

Despite dropping a 1-0 game-two home decision to Gabala, Progres Niederkorn won their series with the Azerbaijani club 2-1 on aggregate.

At Ovidiu, Romania:

A game-two 0-0 stalemate with visiting Racing FC enabled Viitorul Constanta to win their series with the Luxembourgian club 2-0 on aggregate.

At Kostanay, Kazakhstan:

Bauyrzhan Turysbek (12') and Asian Darabayev (83') each scored once as Tobol blanked visiting Samtredia 2-0 in game two and won their series with the Georgian club 3-0 on aggregate.

At Maribor, Slovenia:

NK Maribor, with goals from Amir Dervisevic (31') and Marcos Tavares (90'+3), blanked visiting Partizani 2-0 and took out the Albanian club 3-0 on aggregate.

At Budapest, Hungary:

Robert Litauszki (19'), Bojan Sankovic (22'), Donat Zsoter (50'), and Obinna Nwobodo (65') each scored once as Ujpest overcame their 3-1 road defeat from game one with a 4-0 game-two demolition of visiting Neftci Baku and won their series 5-3 on aggregate.

At Myjava, Slovakia:

Antonio Mance's goal in the 70th minute enabled Trencin to gain a 1-1 game-two home draw with Buducnost Podgorica and a 3-1 series aggregate victory over the Montenegrin club.

At Minsk, Belarus:

Alyaksandr Sachywka's goal in the 28th minute proved vital as Dinamo Minsk, despite dropping a 2-1 game-two home decision, still ousted Derry City 3-2 on aggregate.

At Podgorica, Montenegro:

Goals from Benjamin Heinesen (51') and Milos Radulovic (OG-83') enabled B36 Torshavn to knock off Titograd Podgorica 2-1 in game two and win their series 2-1 on aggregate.

At Chisinau, Moldova:

Daniel Smuga's goal in the 85th minute lifted Gornik Zabrze to a 1-1 game-two road draw with Zaria Balti and a 2-1 series victory on aggregate at the Moldovan club's expense.

At Coleraine, Northern Ireland:

Mile Savkovic (33') and Bojan Cecaric (90'+2) each scored once as Spartak Subotica blanked Coleraine 2-0 on the road and won their series 3-1 on aggregate.

At Skopje, Macedonia:

Bacar Balde scored twice (85', 89') as Pyunik blanked Vardar 2-0 on the road in game two and won their series with the Macedonian club 3-0 on aggregate.

At Solna, Sweden:

After Danny Carr's goal in the 19th minute enabled Shamrock Rovers to top AIK Solna 1-0 on the road in game two to level the series at 1-1 on aggregate, Nicolas Stefanelli scored the series winner in overtime (94'), enabling the Swedish club to advance 2-1 on aggregate.

At Salihorsk, Belarus:

Elis Bakaj (PK-24') and Maksim Bordachev (82') each scored once as Shakhtyor Soligorsk blanked visiting Connah's Quay Nomads 2-0 in game two and won their series 5-1 on aggregate.

At Hafnarfjordur, Iceland:

A 0-0 game-two home stalemate with Finland's FC Lahti was more than good enough for FH Hafnarfjordur as the Icelandic club won their series 3-0 on aggregate.

At Elbasan, Albania:

Adeleke Akinyemi scored twice during first-half stoppage time (45'+4, 45'+8) as Ventspils gained a 3-3 game-two road draw with Luftetari Gjirokaster and won their series with the Albanian club 8-3 on aggregate.

At Farum, Denmark:

Godsway Donyoh (58') and Andreas Olsen (83') each scored once as FC Nordjaellan defeated visiting Cliftonville 2-1 in game two and won their series 3-1 on aggregate.

At Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina:

Nihad Mujakic (31'), Mersudin Ahmetovic (38'), and Sevkija Resic (72') each scored once as FK Sarajevo dominated visiting Banants 3-0 in game two and won their series 5-1 on aggregate.

At Almaty, Kazakhstan:

Marton Eppel produced a quadruple (4', 11', 44', 75') as Kairat destroyed visiting Engordany 7-1 in game two and completed their two-match dismembering of the Andorran club 10-1 on aggregate.

At Osijek, Croatia:

Robert Mudrazija (15') and Borna Barisic (61') each scored once as Osijek defeated visiting Petroclub 2-1 in game two and won their series with the Moldovan club 3-2 on aggregate.

At Laci, Albania:

Myrto Uzuni's goal in the 88th minute proved decisive as Laci defeated visiting Anorthosis Famagusta 1-0 in game two and, with the aggregate score at 2-2, won their series with the Cypriot club on away goals.

At Netanya, Israel:

Eliran Atar's goal in the opening minute of first-half stoppage time carried Maccabi Tel Aviv to a second 1-0 victory over Ferencvaros, this time on Israeli soil as they won their series with the Hungarian club 2-0 on aggregate.

At Baku, Azerbaijan:

Despite dropping a 2-1 game-two road decision to Kesla, Balzan still won their series 5-3 on aggregate.

Andrija Majdevac scored in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time to ice the series for the Maltese club.

At Belgrade, Serbia:

Danilo Pantic (11'), Ognjen Ozegovic (44'), and Ricardo Gomes (83') each scored a goal as Partizan Belgrade registered a second 3-0 victory over Rudar Pljevlja, this time at home as they ousted the Montenegrin club 6-0 on aggregate.

At Riga, Latvia:

After Antonijs Cernomordijs scored in the 44th minute, enabling FC Riga to top visiting CSKA Sofia 1-0 in regulation of game two, leveling the series at 1-1 on aggregate (and forcing 30 minutes of goal-free overtime), Kristiyan Malinov, Nikolay Bodurov, Geferson, Edwin Gyasi, and Kiril Despodov converted their spot kicks as the Bulgarian club took the penalty-kick shootout 5-3.

At Bratislava, Slovakia:

Andraz Sporar (15', 25') and Mohammed Rharsalla (33', 77') each scored twice as Slovan Bratislava destroyed visiting Milsami Orhei 5-0 in game two and won their series 9-2 on aggregate.

At Ta' Qali, Malta:

Radovan Pankov scored the only goal of the match in the eighth minute as Radnicki Nis defeated Gzira United 1-0 on the road in game two and won their series 5-0 on aggregate.

At Yerevan, Armenia:

Lukasz Tralka scored the series-winning goal in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time as Lech Poznan, despite dropping a 2-1 game-two road decision to Gandzasar Kapan, still won their series with the Armenian club 3-2 on aggregate.

At Jerusalem, Israel:

Levan Kakubava (73') and Giorgi Gabedava (PK-83') as Chikhura Sachkhere came from behind to upend Beitar Jerusalem 2-1 on the road in game two and won their series by that same score on aggregate.

At Pavlodar, Kazakhstan:

Svajunas Cyzas scored the only goal of both the game and series in the 19th minute as Trakai defeated Irtysh Pavlodar 1-0 on the road in game two and won their series by that same score on aggregate.

At Toftir, Faroe Islands:

Stephen Mallan scored twice (70', 77') as Hibernian defeated NSI Runavik 6-4 on the road in game two and won their series 12-5 on aggregate.

At Forti, Italy:

Klemen Bolha (43'), Vlatko Simunac (47'), and Abu Kamara (71') each scored a goal as Rudar Velenje dominted Tre Fiori of San Marino 3-0 on the road in game two and completed their two-match beat-down 10-0 on aggregate.

At Dundalk, Ireland:

Patrick Hoban (31') and Michael Duffy (33') each scored a goal as Dundalk defeated visiting FCI Levadia 2-1 in game two and won their series with the Estonian club 3-1 on aggregate.

At Sarpsborg, Norway:

Mikkel Agger scored twice (13', 82') as Sarpsborg 08 defeated visiting IBV 2-0 in game two and finished off the Icelandic club 6-0 on aggregate.

At Copenhagen, Denmark:

Denis Vavro's successful penalty kick in the 81st minute lifted FC Copenhagen to a 1-1 game-two home draw with KuPS as the Danish club won their series 2-1 on aggregate.

At Gothenburg, Sweden:

Despite dropping a 2-1 game-two home decision to FK Liepaja, BK Hacken won their series with the Latvian club 4-2 on aggregate.

Nasiru Mohammed scored for the hosts at 42 minutes.
