CAF Champions League: Horoya, USM Alger, AS Vita Club, Enyimba Advance To First Round

The preliminary round of the CAF Champions League concluded with 15 games on Sunday.

At Conakry, Guinea:

Dramane Nikiema scored the only goal of the match in the 24th minute as Horoya defeated visiting Stade Malien 1-0 in game two and won their series 2-1 on aggregate.

At Algiers, Algeria:

Aymen Mahious (27'), Muaid Ellafi (OG-35'), and Oualid Ardji (64') each scored once as USM Alger defeated visiting AS SONIDEP 3-1 in game two and ousted the club from Niger 5-2 on aggregate.

At Dar es Salaam, Tanzania:

A 1-1 game-two road draw with Simba enabled Mozambique's UD Songo to win their series on away goals (with the aggregate score at 1-1).

Luis Misquissone scored the series winner for the guests in the 41st minute.

At Bangui, Central African Republic (due to ongoing security concerns stemming from Libya's ongoing civil war):

Al-Nasr of Libya defeated Tempete Mocaf of the Central African Republic 3-1 in game two and won their series 3-2 on aggregate.

At Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo:

Zakari Mumuni's goal in the 54th minute carried AS Vita Club to a 1-0 game two----and 1-0 series aggregate victory---Cameroon's UMS De Loum.

At Omdurman, Sudan:

A 0-0 game-two home stalemate with Rwanda's Rayon Sports proved good enough for Al-Hilal as the hosts won their series on road goals, with the aggregate score at 1-1.

At Aba, Nigeria:

Reuben Bala (32', 86') and Stanley Dimgba (79', 89') each scored twice as Enyimba destroyed visiting Rahimo 5-0 in game two and finished off the club from Burkina Faso 6-0 on aggregate.

At Mek'ele, Ethiopia:

Benjamin Ndong's goal in the 40th minute carried Cano Sport to a 1-1 game-two road draw with Mekelle 70 Enderta and a berth in the first round following the Equatorial Guinean club's 3-2 series aggregate victory.

At Nairobi, Kenya:

Nicholas Kipkirui scored twice (16', 38') as Gor Mahia demolished visiting Aigle Noir of Burundi 5-1 in game two and won their series by that score on aggregate.

At N'Djamena, Chad:

Bechir Abdoulaye scored the insurance goal in the 62nd minute as Elect-Sport blanked visiting Cercle Mberi 2-0 in game two and eliminated the Gabonese club by that score on aggregate.

At Kumasi, Ghana:

Matthew Andoh (3') and Emmanuel Gyamfi (80') each scored once as Asante Kotoko blanked visiting Kano Pillars 2-0 in game two and won their series with the Nigerian club 4-3 on aggregate.

At Luanda, Angola:

Isaac Mensah (37') and Benvindo Afonso (82') each scored once as Petro Luanda registered a second 2-0 blanking of Matlama, this time at home, and eliminated the club from Lesotho 4-0 on aggregate.

At Belle Vue Maurel, Mauritius:

Santatra Andriamamonjy's goal in the 67th minute lifted Fosa Juniors to a 1-1 game-two road draw with Pamplemousses and a 2-1 series aggregate victory.

At Lome, Togo:

Yendoutie Nane scored the only goal of the match in the 82nd minute as Kara defeated visiting Buffles FC 1-0 in game two and knocked out the club from Benin 2-1 on aggregate.

At Nouakchott, Mauritania:

Abdoulaye Gueye converted a penalty kick in the 70th minute for the lone goal of both game two and the series as Nouadhibou knocked out visiting SOA of Ivory Coast 1-0 on aggregate.
