UEFA Champions League Qualifying: Series-Opening Wins For Trond Kids, The Legend, Dragons, LASK; Bhoys Gain Game-One Road Draw With Cluj

The third round of UEFA Champions League qualifying reached its' midway point on Wednesday with five games.

Champions Path:

At Cluj-Napoca, Romania:

James Forrest's equalizer in the 37th minute carried Celtic to a 1-1 series-opening road draw with CFR Cluj.

Mario Rondon scored for the Romanian club in the 28th minute.

At Maribor, Slovenia:

Alexander Soderlund scored twice (50', 64') as Rosenborg downed NK Maribor 3-1 on the road in their series opener.



League Path:

At Istanbul, Turkey:

Giorgios Masouras scored the only goal of the match in the 53rd minute as Olympiacos defeated Istanbul Basaksehir 1-0 on the road in game one of their two-match series.

At Krasnodar, Russia:

FC Porto, with Sergio Oliveira knocking in the winning goal in the 89th minute, upended home-standing FC Krasnodar 1-0 in their series-opening match.

At Basel, Switzerland:

Joao Klauss De Mello scored the game winner in the 82nd minute as LASK, in their first-ever Champions League match at any level of the competition, knocked off FC Basel 2-1 on the road.
