At Quito, Ecuador:
Ramon Avila (11'), Emanuel Reynoso (47'), and Luis Caicedo (OG-81') each scored once as Boca Juniors opened their series with LDU Quito with a 3-0 game-one road domination of the Ecuadorian club.
At Rio de Janeiro:
Flamengo (Brazil) vs. Internacional (Brazil), game one, 5:30 PM Pacific Time
