CAF Champions League

The preliminary round of the CAF Champions League continued on Saturday with 12 games.

At Bakau, Gambia:

Raja Casablanca gained a series-opening 3-3 road draw with Brikama United.

At Dobo-Dioulasso,  Burkina Faso:

Rahimo opened their series by upending visiting Enyimba 1-0.

At Mtsapha,  Swaziland:

ZESCO United blanked Green Mamba 2-0 on the road in their series opener.

At Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania:

Young Africans and visiting Township Rollers opened their two-game series with a 1-1 stalemate.

At Blantyre, Malawi:

Nyasa Big Bullets drew blanks as did visiting FC Platinum in a 0-0 series-opening stalemate.

At Windhoek, Namibia:

African Stars held off visiting KCCA 3-2 in game one.

At Lusaka, Zambia:

Green Eagles took the measure of visiting Orlando Pirates 1-0 in game one.

At Unguja,  Zanzibar:

Angola's August 1st Sports Club blanked hosts KMKM (which sounds like the call letters of an American radio station) 2-0 in their series opener.

At Kano, Nigeria:

Kano Pillars took the opening match of their series with visiting Asante Kotoko of Ghana 3-2.

At Bamako, Mali:

Stade Malien Bamako and visiting Horoya battled to a series-opening 1-1 deadlock.

At Malabo, Equatorial Guinea:

Cano Sport topped visiting Mekelle 70 Enderta 2-1 in their series-opening contest.

At Songo,  Mozambique:

SD Songo and visiting Simba Sports Club battled to a series-opening 0-0 draw.
