MLS: Sunday Wins For Five Stripes, Philly, DC, LAFC

Four games were contested in Major League Soccer on Sunday.

At Atlanta:

Josef Martinez scored twice (42', 63') as Atlanta United defeated visiting New York City 2-1.

At Chester, Pennsylvania:

Jack Elliot scored the winning goal in the 78th minute as the Philadelphia Union downed the visiting Houston Dynamo 2-1.

At Washington:

Lucas Rodriguez scored the game winner at 73 minutes as DC United upended the visiting Los Angeles Galaxy 2-1.

At Los Angeles:

Carlos Vela converted a penalty kick in the 61st minute for what proved to be the game-winning goal as the Los Angeles Football Club doubled up the visiting New York Red Bulls 4-2.
