Zakaria Benchaa scored twice (51', 69') as USM Alger upended AS SONIDEP 2-1 on the road in the opening match of their two-game series.
At Tizi-Ouzou, Algeria:
Rida Bensayah scored the only goal of the match in the 43rd minute as JS Kabylie defeated visiting Al-Merrikh 1-0 in their series-opening contest.
