UEFA Champions League Qualifying: Ajax, Trond Kids, APOEL, Dinamo Zagreb, Olympiacos, Red Star Advance To Playoff Round

The third qualifying round for the UEFA Champions League concluded on Tuesday with ten games.

Champions Path:

At Glasgow, Scotland:

Billel Omrani scored twice (PK-74', 80') as CFR Cluj knocked off Celtic 4-3 on the road in game two and ousted the Bhoys 5-4 on aggregate.

At Baku, Azerbaijan:

Tomas De Vincenti (PK-34') and Uros Matic (68') each scored once as APOEL overturned their series-opening home defeat by blanking Qarabag 2-0 in game two on the road and won their series 3-2 on aggregate.

At Amsterdam, Netherlands:

Dusan Tadic scored three times (OG-32', PK-43', 85'), twice for his own club as Ajax Amsterdam held off visiting PAOK FC 3-2 in game two and won their series 5-4 on aggregate.

At Budapest, Hungary:

Arijam Ademi (16'), Bruno Petkovic (47'), Dani Olmo (55'), and Amer Gojak (79') each scored once as Dinamo Zagreb demolished Ferencvaros 4-0 on the road in game two and finished off the Hungarian club 5-1 on aggregate.

At Copenhagen, Denmark:

After a second 1-1 deadlock (followed by 30 scoreless overtime minutes) which leveled the series at 2-2, an eleven-round penalty-kick shootout followed.

Mirko Ivancic, Jander, Radovan Pankov (twice, with his second being the game winner), Milos Degenek, Marko Gobeljic, Milan Borjan made their spot kicks as visiting Red Star Belgrade knocked off FC Copenhagen 7-6 in the PK shootout.

At Trondheim, Norway:

Anders Konradsen scored twice (61', 81') as Rosenborg registered a second 3-1 triumph at NK Maribor's expense, this time at home as the Trond Kids finished off their Slovenian guests 6-2 on aggregate.


League Path:

At Piraeus, Greece:

Ruben Semedo (55') and Matheiu Valbuena (PK-78') each scored once as Olympiacos blanked visiting Istanbul Basaksehir 2-0 in game two and eliminated the Turkish club 3-0 on aggregate.

At Porto, Portugal:

Magomed Suleymanov scored twice (13', 34') as FC Krasnodar knocked off FC Porto 3-2 on the road in game two and won their series with the Dragons on away goals (with the aggregate score at 3-3).

At Kiev, Ukraine:

Simon Deli (17'), Ruud Vormer (88'), and Lois Openda (90'+5) each scored once as Club Brugge came back from three one-goal deficits to gain a 3-3 game-two road draw with Dynamo Kiev and won their series 4-3 on aggregate.

At Linz, Austria:

Reinhold Ranfil (59'), Thomas Goiginger (89'), and Marko Raguz (90'+4) each scored once as LASK defeated visiting FC Basel 3-1 in game two and won their series 5-2 on aggregate.
