At Kingston, Jamiaca:
Keyner Brown's equalizer in the 17th minute carried Herediano to a 1-1 series-opening road deadlock with Waterhouse.
Andre Fletcher scored for the hosts in the third minute.
At Hamilton, Ontario:
Christopher Nanco scored the only goal of the match in the fourth minute as Forge FC defeated visiting CD Olimpia 1-0 in their series-opening contest.
At San Salvador, El Salvador:
Raul Penaranda (38') and Ivan Mancia (57') each scored once as Alianza opened their series with Tauro FC by blanking the visiting Panamanian club 2-0.
