Birmingham City Back In Premiership; Canaries Relegated To League One

Birmingham City secured automatic promotion from the League Championship back to the English Premiership (after a one-year stay) with a 2-1 road win over Reading, who will be joining Sheffield United, Burnley, and Preston North End (who haven't played in the top flight since 1961) in the playoffs for the final promotion spot.

The Blues will join Wolverhampton in the Premier League next season via automatic promotion.

Meanwhile, Norwich City, who had played in the Premiership as recently as 2005, were relegated to League One after being knocked off by already-relegated Charlton Athletic.

The Canaries will be playing in the third level of English soccer for the first time since 1960.
