The draw for the CAF Champions League's group stage took place Thursday in Cairo Egypt. Here are the two groups:
Group A:
Al-Merreikh (Sudan; top seed)
Al-Hilal (Sudan; second seed)
Kano Pillars FC (Nigeria)
ZESCO United FC (Zambia)
Group B:
Etoile Sportive du Sahel (Tunisia; top seed)
TP Mazembe (DRC; second seed)
Monomotapa United (Zimbabwe)
Heartland FC (Nigeria)
Each team would two games (one home, one away) each against each of the other teams in its' group. The top two teams in each group would advance to the semifinal round.
Group stage play begins July 17-19.
