At Houston:
First-half goals from Brad Davis (20'), Kei Kamara (22'), and Stuart Holden (24'), all in a five-minute span, lead the Houston Dynamo to a 3-0 home beatdown of Toronto FC.
At Carson, California:
Edson Buddle's equalizer at 87 minutes enabled the Los Angeles Galaxy to salvage a 1-1 home deadlock with the Kansas City Wizards. Davy Arnaud scored for the visitors at 84 minutes.
At Santa Clara, California:
Goals from Cornell Glen (52') and Arturo Alvarez (63') paced the San Jose Earthquakes to a rare win, 2-1 at home over Real Salt Lake.
At Seattle:
Nate Jaqua's goal at 58 minutes lifted Seattle Sounders FC to a 1-1 home stalemate with the Columbus Crew. The visitors got a score from Alejandro Moreno at 12 minutes.
In a game played this past Tuesday, the Sounders qualified for the US Open Cup with a 1-0 win over the Colorado Rapids at Tukwila, Washington. Kevin Forrest scored the game's lone goal at 62 minutes.
